Jack Tretton is no longer the president of Sony America

Executive leaves the company after 19 years, and Shawn Layden will take up his post from April 1


Sony announced on Thursday ( 06 ) Jack Tretton is no longer president of Sony America, the U.S. division of the Japanese company , from next March 31 . The next day , who takes over from Tretton is Shawn Layden , who was executive vice president of Sony Network Entertainment International .

In a statement , Sony revealed that the change takes place by mutual agreement between the company and the now ex - president. " This is the result of a mutual agreement between Mr. . He was at Sony since 1995 and held the post of president of the North American division since 2006 .
