Samsung leads the mobile phone market in the world, Lenovo is the fastest growing

According to the Gartner report, South Korean company delivered nearly 300 million units to consumers in the past 12 months

 

Samsung ended the year 2013 as the leading company in the global smartphone market. Data released this week by consulting firm Gartner indicate that the South Korean company delivered no less than 299.7 million units to consumers in the past 12 months - which represents 31 % of the market .

Compared to the same period 2012 , however , growth was small . Samsung was also completed in 2012 in the lead, with the percentage of 30.3 % of the market . Thus , an increase of 0.7 % , we can say that the company is stable in the first position .

Apple , second place , was the only company among the top five in a losing market share. In 2012, led by Tim Cook company held 19.1 % market share in 2013 fell to 15.6 % - a decline of 3.5 % percentage points .
Increases the fight for third place

The Chinese company Huawei jumped from 4 % to 4.8 % and, thus , remained in third position. Another detail revealed by Gartner research is that for the first time ever sales of smartphones exceeded those of regular mobile phones . According to the company , 57.6 % of handsets sold relied on intelligent features .
